Rising in Love is the modern day coming-of-age story about interracial Jewish couple Rosie and Scott, their fears and anxieties surrounding marriage, and the friends and family who help them learn what it takes to rise in love.

You have Rising in Love, the lively and big-hearted new musical that will delight you and have you humming long after the performance. This playful and lovable new musical with beautifully lyrical and singable music explores growth, compromise, relationships, communication, and what it means to grow up and find love in today's world.

The Back Story
Since she was a teenager, songwriter, composer, and lyricist Rory Michelle Sullivan has created art that helps people access healthier ways of relating. Her high school music theory project became one of the songs for the musical, beginning Rory Michelle’s career in writing fun, authentic, sincere, and alive music that speaks to the heart. With the addition of Moira Lo Bianco’s brilliant harmonies and arrangements, Jonathan Shanes' inspired composing, and Erica Riddick's playful dramaturgy magic, the musical Rising in Love has grown up from a collection of Rory Michelle’s songs to a project with a life of its own.
